UNDER 20: MONZA CELEBRATES AND CLAIMS THREE POINTS AGAINST GENOA

Monza triumph 2-0 at home against Genoa and collect their fifth consecutive positive result.

In the opening minutes, both teams study each other carefully, looking to capitalize on any opponent’s mistake.

The visitors start with high pressure, trying to trouble the red-and-white defense, which stays focused, defends solidly and looks to counterattack.

Monza grow as the minutes pass and, thanks to good ball control, gain more ground, staying compact while attacking with courage and personality.

At 31', the hosts take the lead: captain Bagnaschi receives the ball on the left flank, looks up and sends in a tricky shot that deceives the goalkeeper for the 1-0.

The biancorossi keep pressing and, after a shot by De Bonis at 38', double their advantage just two minutes later: Lysionok, under pressure from Reita, misplaces a pass that ends up at Diene’s feet. He takes aim and beats the keeper with precision.

The first half ends 2-0 in favor of Oscar Brevi’s side.

In the second half, Monza immediately push forward with Mout, who dribbles past three defenders but is stopped at the last moment by the goalkeeper.

At 8', Mout tries again from distance: his left-footed strike is powerful but off target.

At 27', Genoa threaten through Romano, whose powerful shot is well saved by Strajnar. Three minutes later, following a corner, Kumer finds space in the box but his header goes wide.

Bagnaschi and his teammates hold firm against Genoa’s late attempts to reopen the match, with Colonnese leading a solid defensive line.

At the final whistle, Monza celebrate three valuable points.

In the next round, scheduled for Saturday, November 8th at 3:00 PM, AC Monza will face Torino FC away.
