UNDER 20: MONZA-BOLOGNA 0-2

The match between Monza and Bologna ended 0-2, a fixture valid for matchday 33 of the Primavera 1 championship, played at the Centro Sportivo Silvio and Luigi Berlusconi-Monzello.

The opening stages were very balanced, with both sides well organized and waiting for the right moment to break through the opposition’s defense.

Monza increased the pressure and, at 10', created the first big chance of the match through Fogliaro. The striker controlled the ball with his back to goal and, without hesitation, shot towards Happonen, who reacted well and parried it out for a corner.

At 13', the rossoblù responded with a good move by Ferrari, but Vailati gathered the ball in two attempts and restarted play.

The home side kept possession well in search of openings and at 21' Reita spotted space, drove forward and shot on the move. The goalkeeper timed his intervention perfectly and pushed the effort out for a corner.

At 23' Fogliaro did everything right: first he got past his marker with a great move, then aimed with his left foot, but was once again denied by Happonen.

The biancorossi stepped up the tempo and at 26' it was Fogliaro again with a shot, his right-footed effort just wide of the left post, allowing the visitors to breathe.

At 42' Bagnaschi reached the byline and delivered a cross into the box, which nobody managed to connect with by the slightest margin. The first half ended goalless.

In the second half, Bologna took the lead at 3' through Ferrari, who combined well with a teammate, entered the box and finished clinically.

At 10' Diene received a pass from Buonaiuto and tried his luck from the edge of the area, but the goalkeeper safely collected the ball.

At 18' Ferrari tested Vailati with an acrobatic effort, which was well saved.

The rossoblù pushed forward again at 31' and doubled their lead through Negri.

Monza kept trying to reduce the deficit until the final minutes, but at the final whistle the match ended 0-2.

In the next round, scheduled for Saturday, April 18th at 3:00 PM, AC Monza will host Frosinone Calcio.
