AC Monza, led by coach Oscar Brevi, wins 1-0 away against Lazio, confirming a strong start to the season.
Monza begins well from the very first minutes: determined, proactive and well-organized on the field.
The biancorossi try to get into attacking positions, but Lazio’s defense remains solid.
At 17', a decisive intervention by Strajnar on Sulejmani’s shot keeps the score unchanged.
Lazio responds a few minutes later. At 22', Attinasi sees a cross from the right, gets into position and volleys powerfully, but the shot goes wide, allowing Lazio’s defense to breathe.
At 23', Monza nearly takes the lead again: from a corner kick, Villa jumps higher than everyone, hits the ball, but narrowly misses the goal. Heart-stopping moments for Bosi and his teammates.
At 27', Mout earns a valuable free kick just outside the penalty area and Attinasi takes the set-piece. The left-footed shot is powerful, low and angled, but goes just outside the left post.
Monza’s pressure causes Lazio’s defense to tremble. At 35', Calvani loses control of the ball during an attack by Ballabio, who then plays it back to Reita, but Bosi saves with a corner kick.
The first half ends in a draw.
In the second half, the match finally opens up and at the 9' Monza scores. First, Strajnar blocks a cross with his gloves, then quickly relaunches forward, finding Reita in depth, who escapes his marker and scores with a "diez" shot. What a goal!
Reita continues to trouble Lazio’s defense and at 14' he dribbles past two opponents, tries to surprise Bosi, but misses the target.
Lazio pushes forward in search of an equalizer, attempting to threaten Strajnar, but without creating real danger.
At 32', Attinasi nearly doubles the lead with a free kick: the goalkeeper flies to save, parrying the powerful, angled shot into corner.
Lazio commits men forward, but Monza’s defense, led by Colonnese, raises the wall and resists.
In the final moments, Monza comes close to scoring again and at the final whistle, the score remains 0-1.
In the next match, scheduled for Saturday, September 27th at 3:00 PM, AC Monza will host ACF Fiorentina.
