UNDER 20: MONZA SHOWS HEART AND CHARACTER TO DRAW AGAINST MILAN

Ninety minutes of heart-stopping action: AC Milan 2-2 AC Monza, 7th Round.

A balanced start to the game, with both teams well-positioned on the pitch and ready to take advantage of any opponent mistakes.

At 11', Castiello from the left flank delivers a cross aimed at Scotti, who fails to connect in time and shows his frustration.

Milan, with good ball circulation, tries to break through Monza’s well-organized defense, which stays alert and ready to counter. At 13’, Scotti combines with teammates and attempts a long-range shot, but misses the target.

As the minutes pass, Monza starts pushing forward and gaining more ground, but the rossoneri defense remains composed and launches counterattacks. At 29’, Pandolfi links up with Castiello and fires a powerful shot from distance, but the ball goes wide of the left post.

In the second half, just after the restart, Milan takes the lead thanks to La Mantia, who scores from distance and opens the scoring.

Monza bounces back with determination: at 8’, Ballabio fires a thunderous shot to equalize, leaving Bouyer helpless.

After a strong phase of play from the visitors, Milan pushes forward again. First Scotti and then Pandolfi test Strajnar, who makes two excellent saves to keep the score level.

At 31, Monza turns the game around with Azarovs scoring the second goal of the afternoon. The Latvian defender arrives first on a corner kick and beats the keeper, celebrating with teammates a goal earned with heart, character and personality.

The rossoneri respond, but Monza’s defense stands firm. At 44’, Plazzotta shoots from distance to level the score once again. A thrilling match, with both sides refusing to give up.

In the final moments, Fardin nearly scores a winner and at the final whistle the match ends 2-2.

In the next round, scheduled for Saturday, 18th October at 1:00 PM, AC Monza will face Juventus FC.
