Monza’s second friendly match is a success: the game against Team Ticino ends 5-0.
The biancorossi start strong from the very first minutes, building up play methodically from the back in search of offensive solutions. The understanding between the different units works well and the chances don’t take long to arrive.
At 11', the brianzoli come close to taking the lead with Mout, who quickly beats two defenders, shoots at goal, but the ball is saved and goes out for a corner.
Just a few minutes later, Oscar Brevi’s side threatened again, but the visitors cleared the danger and attempted to break on the counter.
At 30’, the hosts opened the scoring through Azarovs, who drove into the box, connected with a cross from the left and beat the goalkeeper with a composed finish.
At 39’, Monza doubled their lead: Fogliaro controlled Castelli’s pass and coolly slotted it past Pellanda.
Near the end of the first half, Fogliaro nearly scored again, but his shot flew just over the bar.
Just one minute into the second half, the third goal arrived: Reita, freshly off the bench, escaped the back line and calmly finished to make it 3-0.
Team Ticino tried to react through Riverso, who struck toward goal but found Ciardi ready with a solid save.
At 54’, Reita struck again the midfielder went on a solo run, beat the defenders and slotted home Monza’s fourth goal.
At 71’, Frizzi broke into the box and fired with power, but was denied by an excellent stop from Ciardi.
Fardin then created two chances: first at 72’ and again at 74’, both times forcing saves from the Ticino goalkeeper.
Monza kept pushing forward and at 82’ found the fifth goal: Fardin spotted Gaye’s run and set him up with a clever backheel. The striker made no mistake in front of goal.
At 86’, the visitors showed signs of life in the attacking third with Torti, who aimed at goal but missed the target.
In their next friendly match, scheduled for Wednesday, the 30th of July 2025 at 6:30 PM, AC Monza will face FC Mendrisio away.
