Going Beyond. Storie Biancorosse was created with the aim of showcasing the most beautiful side of football, the future of this sport: the young players of the Youth Sector, who nurture their dream on the green pitch every day, guided by educators before coaches.
In the fifth episode of Storie Biancorosse, the true protagonists were the Under 18 athletes, who had the opportunity to step outside the boundaries of the playing field and become young journalists for a day. With interesting and thoughtful questions, they addressed their coach Davide Brivio, who, in a setting similar to a press conference, responded by drawing on his experience as a former professional footballer and coach to share positive messages for their journey.
Encouraging the creativity of each young player and fostering a moment of shared discussion were the initial goals. The participants’ response turned out to be a success, with the boys showing great curiosity and a strong journalistic spirit.
“I wish each of you the chance to achieve your dreams and to always believe in them. In my past as a footballer I also experienced difficult seasons, but many situations I only understood with time, and they helped me grow. I hope to be able to pass these lessons on to you when we are together. My advice is to give it your all, to give your maximum in everything you do, in every training session and every match. You must do it first and foremost for yourselves: only then will you truly feel satisfied.” These were Brivio’s words as he answered the many questions, retracing some key moments of his playing career and highlighting how even negative experiences can offer valuable lessons, turning them into something positive.
Stopping for a few minutes, reflecting and listening is not time wasted; sometimes it is exactly how everything begins, because another person’s experience can be a source of light and richness for each individual’s path.
