JUVENTUS 2 - 0 MONZA: MATCH REPORT

On the final day of Serie A, Juventus overcame Monza 2-0 at Allianz Stadium. A defeat that does not change the judgments on the beautiful second season in Serie A of the biancorossi.

Before the whistle blows, the Biancorossi's Deputy Vice President and CEO Adriano Galliani awards Di Gregorio, MVP of Lega Serie A 2023/24 for the goalkeeping category.

Special match also for Pessina, who plays his 100th official game with Monza.

The start was all Brianzoli, who startled Juve first in the 3rd minute with Dany Mota's cross, on which Birindelli arrived slightly late in the dive, and then in the 9th minute with D'Ambrosio's header, blocked by Perin off Colpani's free kick. The action then continued with a double attempt by Izzo and Valentin Carboni, but the Bianconeri saved themselves. With the danger averted, Juventus made themselves dangerous for the first time in the 19th minute, when Fagioli advanced centrally and unloaded a great right-footer that hit the crossbar. The hosts took courage and took the lead in the 26th minute, with Chiesa's personal action beating Sorrentino. Goal that galvanizes the Bianconeri, again in the net after two minutes with Alex Sandro's header, off a corner from the right by Fagioli.

In the second half there are Bondo and Djuric among the red-and-whites, and it was Bondo himself who showed up right away with a conclusion blocked by newcomer Pinsoglio. The Bianconeri goalkeeper also neutralized Birindelli's left-footed attempt in the 52nd minute. Juventus turned on for the first time in the second half in the 53rd minute, when Chiesa hit the post with a great right-footed shot. The Bianconeri number 7 tried again in the 61st minute, but found a super Sorrentino to tell him no on the way out. Palladino inserted Zerbin and then Kyriakopoulos and the Biancorossi tried to get back into the game, but Djuric in the 75th minute also found a decisive Pinsoglio in his way, who deflected his close-range header and Kyriakopoulos' subsequent shot finished wide. In the 81st minute Palladino made his Serie A debut for young Andrea Ferraris, who had already coached in the Primavera and arrived in Brianza just from Juventus. The Brianzoli remained in ten for the double yellow to Zerbin in the 90th minute, but they did not give up and in the 94th minute asked for a penalty on Dany Mota that was not granted, however.

Juventus wins 2-0, but Monza can be more than satisfied with its season. And in the next one it will play again in Serie A!
