The journey of AC Monza’s Under 15 team continues, engaged in an intense season that is delivering positive signs. The biancorossi side has shown steady growth, with continuous progress confirming the importance of daily work on the training ground.
Throughout the year, there has been no shortage of matches against high-level opponents, useful for measuring improvement and marking key steps in the team’s development process. All the challenges faced so far have helped strengthen the group’s character, which has consistently shown the ability to react and gradually adapt to different match situations.
The role of the coaching staff, led by head coach Luca Morin, is fundamental. He guides the players along a path that is not only athletic but also educational, instilling values such as commitment, respect and responsibility. The focus is not solely on performance but also on the individual growth of each player, through work that combines technical and developmental aspects with the aim of preparing the young biancorossi for higher levels, ensuring continuity in a process that looks carefully toward the future.
“We work every day with dedication on various basic concepts such as marking, off-the-ball movement, build-up play and finishing ability, both individually and collectively. Our primary goal is to provide our players with all the tools they need to choose the most appropriate solutions to handle any situation they may face on the pitch and to respond to any type of request from the coaches they will have throughout their careers. Therefore, in training we constantly try to stimulate our players: you must aim for the maximum and always give your all”, the coach commented.
Morin continued: “The result matters only to a certain extent. For us, judging whether a performance is good or bad depends on many factors, but mainly on how much and how well the playing principles we constantly work on have been internalized and applied, regardless of the weekend match. In this way, results keep improving and the team’s continuous growth is what undoubtedly gives us the greatest satisfaction”.
At this stage of football development, technical work also plays a central role. Every exercise is designed to stimulate learning, encouraging quality in execution and the ability to express oneself naturally on the field.
“Fatigue, mistakes and obstacles are an inevitable part of the growth process. Along the way, there can be many difficulties, but what truly matters is how a person deals with them. For this reason, we analyze them together with the players and help them overcome these challenges and keep improving through the different training exercises we propose. Our players must feel free to experiment without fear of making mistakes or losing the match. One small step at a time, that’s how you grow and can go far”, the coach stated.
Over time, the team has built a clear identity that fully reflects the club’s philosophy, oriented toward the complete development of the player: building from the back, seeking possession and control of the game and active participation from all players in both phases. Individual quality blends with teamwork, highlighting a group in continuous evolution.
The locker room becomes a place of sharing, where friendships are formed and values are built that go beyond the playing field. It is in this context that the sporting culture, one of AC Monza’s core pillars, develops.
The Under 15 captain, Filippo Forcolin, said: “This season has certainly given us many satisfactions, but also moments of disappointment and difficulty. It is precisely these latter moments that have helped us grow, especially in terms of mentality. The team has improved a lot since the beginning of the year: now we are much more aware of our abilities and are not afraid to play against any opponent. Personally, I have been part of the biancorosso Youth Academy for six years. Wearing this shirt is a dream come true, a huge opportunity and also a great responsibility. I hope to continue wearing these colors for a long time, but for now I am focused on growing and improving day by day, both on and off the field”.
“It’s my first year wearing the Monza shirt: a unique and unforgettable experience that I try to honor every day in the best possible way. The season is now almost over and the team has grown a lot both on and off the field, also thanks to the coach’s advice and teaching. We have always supported each other, even during difficult periods, and this has shaped us as a group”, concluded vice-captain Kevin Maniero.
