An unlucky Monday night for Monza, as the Biancorossi fall 2-0 to Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
The guests have the first chance of the game in the 16th minute, but Kyriakopoulos' strike is deflected and goes wide by a few centimetres.
In the 29th minute then Doveri concedes a penalty to Genoa due to a foul by Kyriakopoulos on Vasquez. Pinamonti goes on the spot but gets hypnotised by Turati, who makes a great save.
In the second half the hosts start strong and immediately hit the post with Miretti. In the 61st minute then Genoa finds the lead with De Winter, who beats Turati with a header from inside the box.
Monza tries to react but Genoa doubles in the 84th minute again with a header, this time by Vasquez.
It ends 2-0 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Monza will be back on the pitch on Saturday 1st February at 3pm at the U-Power Stadium against Hellas Verona.
