BOLOGNA 0 - 0 MONZA: MATCH REPORT

A precious point for Monza as the Biancorossi draw 0-0 at the Stadio Dall’Ara against Bologna.

A balanced start to the match, in the 17th minute the returning Pessina hit a header from Colpani's cross, finding Skorupski's save. The hosts respond with Orsolini's left-footed free kick, which Di Gregorio lifts over the crossbar in the 20th minute. The duel came again five minutes later, when the Biancorosso goalkeeper overcame himself with an even more difficult intervention on the Emilian number 7's left-footed left-footed shot. Bologna, spurred on by the very warm fans at the Dall'Ara, pressed on and in the 27th minute Zirkzee did it all by himself, then opting for a cross-shot that went wide. Monza did not stand idly by and in turn came close to taking the lead in the 28th minute, with Lucumi nearly slotting in his own goal to anticipate Djuric on Andrea Carboni's cross. After a nervous and choppy phase of play, Bologna made a comeback in the 40th minute with Ferguson's volley sending out on a corner from the right.

The resumption began with a great chance for Monza, which restarted well on the left: on Zerbin's cross, Colpani in acrobatics touched the lead sending it high by a little.Bologna saved itself and responded in the 54th minute. Orsolini draws Ferguson vertically, but Di Gregorio comes out well and closes the mirror to the Scot. The two teams face each other with courage and the match is wide open. In the 59th minute Bondo rewards the insertion of Andrea Carboni, who takes aim but is unlucky with his left. Palladino plays the first change in the 67', inserting Pedro Pereira. Bologna wants to take advantage of Orsolini's left-footed flicks, who starts in a suspect position in the 69th minute and again finds a responsive Di Gregorio in his way. In the 77th minute Freuler instead kicks out from a good position with his right.

Palladino played two double changes, inserting first at 79' Maldini and Gagliardini and then at 84' Colombo and Valentin Carboni. In the final, Bologna tried to increase the offensive pressure, but the usual duel between Orsolini and Di Gregorio ended with the goalkeeper's rebound also on the shot of the Rossoblù in the 88th minute. Ndoye's low shot on 90' does not frame the goal instead.

It ends 0-0 at the Dall'Ara and Monza closes with an unbeaten goal for the 12th match in the league. In the next round, the Biancorossi will host Atalanta on Sunday, April 21 at 8:45 p.m.
