MONZA 1 - 0 REGGINA: MATCH REPORT


Monza's second half of the league begins in the best way possible as the Biancorossi beat Reggina 1-0 at the U-Power Stadium thanks to Mota's goal.

A few changes in the starting eleven, with Bettella replacing Donati (injured) at the back, while Sampirisi starts over Pedro Pereira.

The Biancorossi start better but struggle to create dangerous chances. In the 16th minute Colpani's strike goes wide, while in the 38th minute the Biancorossi create the biggest chance of the first half when Mota hits the crossbar with a powerful strike.

In the second half Monza keeps on attacking and finally finds the goal in the 52nd minute: Turati saves on Valoti's header, Mazzitelli puts the ball back in the box and finds Mota, who scores his 7th goal in this league.

In the 63rd minute the Biancorossi double with Colpani. The referee however, after consulting VAR, disallows the goal due to a foul by Mazzitelli in the box.

Monza can't find the second goal but keeps the game under control until the final whistle.

It ends 1-0 at the U-Power Stadium, the Biancorossi will be back on the field after the National Team break on Sunday 6th February at 4:15pm against Cremonese.
