UNDER 20: MONZA ENTERTAIN AND WIN AGAINST LECCO IN THE SECOND TEST

The biancorossi overcome Lecco 7-0 in the second summer friendly and continue their path of growth and preparation ahead of the start of the championship.

The team coached by Luciano Vulcano starts strongly from the very first minutes of play: organised, focused and immediately proactive.

The match is unlocked at 11’ and the home side takes the lead: inside the penalty area, the ball arrives at Ballabio’s right foot who, arriving late and with his first touch, unleashes a powerful and precise effort that beats the goalkeeper.

Lecco tries to gain ground, but Colonnese and his teammates do not allow any space and defend with great attention.

At 18’, Fogliaro attempts to surprise the goalkeeper from distance, but Cerri is well positioned between the posts and blocks the ball with his gloves.

At 23’, the Brianzoli try to surprise the blucelesti defence following a corner kick, but Gamba’s header finishes just over the crossbar.

The duel between Fogliaro and Cerri continues. At 26’, Gamba rewards the striker’s run, who rises for a header but is unable to find the winning angle.

Monza keeps pushing and at 32’ finds the second goal: Attinasi lights up the left flank, gets past his opponent and delivers an inviting ball into the box looking for Fogliaro’s winning tap-in. The striker attacks the cross, but he is anticipated by Buccheri’s touch, which deflects the ball into the net.

In the second half, at 6’, Villa from the right spots Fogliaro and delivers a cross, with the striker meeting the ball and narrowly missing the third goal.

The Brianzoli increase the pressure and at 14’ Fardin makes it 3-0. The striker, played through from deep, finds himself one-on-one with Cerri and with great composure produces a precise chip that ends beyond the goal line.

The visitors are unable to escape the biancorossi pressure. At 23’, Abou Elezz, introduced from the bench, receives the ball from Cassina and scores the fourth goal.

At 28’ and 30’, Treffiletti and Cellamaro add their names to the scoresheet. Just three minutes later, the referee stops play and awards a penalty to the home side: from the spot, Treffiletti keeps his cool, sends the goalkeeper the wrong way and scores.

Until the end of the match, it is a real siege: first Zanni, then Perego test Cerri. At the final whistle, the scoreline reads 7-0.

In the next friendly test, scheduled for Monday 3rd August at 4:00 PM, AC Monza Under 20 will face Modena FC away from home.
