PRIMAVERA 1: MONZA-INTER 2-3, SPECTACLE AND THRILLS UNTIL THE VERY LAST SECOND

Monza-Inter ends 2-3 in the fifth matchday of the championship. An intense and thrilling game that remained in the balance until the final whistle, with the home side coming close to an equaliser on several occasions and showing quality and great character.

The team led by coach Luciano Vulcano confirms its place among the youngest teams in the championship, with an average age of under 18: a significant figure that highlights the Club's commitment to the development and growth of its young players.

The Monza start the game strongly and with great aggressiveness. In the 7th minute, the first chance comes down the left: the biancorossi build a fine passing move and find Attinasi, who beats his opponent for pace and delivers a dangerous ball into the box. Zanni comes within a whisker of getting the decisive touch.

The pressure from the biancorossi is relentless and Inter struggle to get out of their own half. Monza have prepared well for the game, and the opening stages are proof of that.

In the 13th minute, the home side get a shot away, but Galliera is alert and turns the ball behind for a corner. Four minutes later, Rocca looks for the winning move, but Strajnar is ready and saves the attempt, turning it behind for a corner.

In the 20th minute, Ballabio breaks forward with power and finds Attinasi on the left. The winger accelerates, reaches the byline and delivers an inviting cross, but the nerazzurri defence holds firm and manages to clear the danger.

Inter try to respond in the 30th minute through Rocca, who beats his defender with a clever turn and shoots, but once again Strajnar makes an excellent save.

In the 35th minute, Inter take the lead. D'Agostino breaks the deadlock and puts the nerazzurri ahead.

Monza do not lose their composure and continue to push forward. In the 40th minute, Buonaiuto finds Zanni, who produces a spectacular first touch. The striker controls the ball, cuts inside his defender, takes aim and comes close to making it 1-1.

The equaliser arrives shortly afterwards. Martone gets on the end of Attinasi's delivery, gets there first and beats Galliera. The captain scores a crucial goal and celebrates with his teammates.

The momentum is now entirely with the biancorossi. In the 44th minute, Galliera is decisive once again, denying Attinasi's powerful left-footed effort. Monza continue to turn up the pressure, while Inter are forced to defend.

In the second half, after just two minutes, Inter regain the lead. Carrara, played in by Rocca, makes no mistake and puts the nerazzurri 2-1 ahead.

The Monza response is immediate. The biancorossi move forward and win a corner, but the nerazzurri defence manages to clear.

In the 11th minute, Ballabio combines with Buonaiuto before spotting Zanni's run and finding him perfectly. The striker tries to surprise the goalkeeper at the near post, but his right-footed effort goes just wide.

The biancorossi continue to push and in the 23rd minute come close to another equaliser, but D'Agostino gets ahead of Fogliaro and keeps the score unchanged.

In the 29th minute, Carrara intercepts the ball, finds himself in front of goal and completes his brace to make it 3-1.

Monza respond once again and in the 33rd minute produce a wonderful move in the opposition half. Colonnesse completes a well-worked one-two with Ganci, but is blocked as he receives the return ball. Fogliaro arrives from deep and pulls one back, making it 3-2 and reopening the game.

The biancorossi throw themselves forward in search of the equaliser. In the 42nd minute, Mariani confidently goes for goal but fails to find the target. One minute later, Badarau tries his luck with a curling right-footed effort that comes close to the post.

In the closing stages, Abou Elezz has two attempts, but his second effort goes just wide of the left post.

Martone and his teammates keep pushing until the very end, but the final whistle confirms a 3-2 scoreline.

In the next round, scheduled for Monday 12th October 2026 at 3:00 PM, AC Monza will face Cagliari Calcio away from home.
