UNDER 20: FIORENTINA-MONZA 3-1

The match between Fiorentina and Monza ends 3-1, a game valid for the 35th matchday of the league, played at the Curva Fiesole Stadium of the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park.

The opening minutes are very balanced, with both teams well positioned on the pitch and searching for solutions.

At 5’, Trapani aims for goal from distance, but the shot is weak and central.

The biancorossi respond and at 12’ try to be dangerous in the attacking third with Mout and Fogliaro, but the Viola defense holds firm and avoids any danger.

The first big chance comes at 13’ and is created by Braschi, who hits the post and wastes an important opportunity.

At 15’, Sadotti, from his own half, with a perfect long ball serves Mazzeo into space. The striker tries to trouble Strajnar, but the ball goes wide to the left of the goal.

Monza step on the accelerator and seem capable of hurting Fiorentina, who suffer the pressure of the Brianzoli and are forced to defend.

Fogliaro becomes dangerous near Leonardelli’s goal: first at 28’ his header misses the target, then at 29’ with an overhead kick he comes close to a spectacular goal.

At 37’, the visitors build a good team move: Attinasi delivers a perfect cross for Bagnaschi, who is good at attacking the penalty area and freeing himself from his marker. The captain’s right-footed shot goes wide and the home side can breathe again.

In the second half, the Viola try immediately with Braschi, but the ball goes just wide of the right post.

At 5’, Braschi challenges Strajnar once again, who saves with his gloves and denies the striker.

At 10’, the referee awards a penalty to Fiorentina and the match is unlocked. Puzzoli from the spot does not miss and celebrates the lead with his teammates.

Only three minutes later, Kone serves Trapani in the box, who puts the ball into the net and doubles the score.

Monza push forward again and at 20’ come close to scoring with Mout who, following a corner, receives the ball and from distance with his left foot hits the crossbar.

At 22’, Bagnaschi strikes a dangerous right-footed shot and calls Leonardelli into action, who responds and sends the ball out for a corner.

The team coached by Galloppa attacks again and at 27’ Kone scores the third goal of the afternoon.

The biancorossi do not give up and at 30’ reduce the gap with Azarovs, who in the penalty area reaches the ball before everyone and beats the goalkeeper.

At 45’, following a corner kick, Buonaiuto finds Villa in the box, who jumps higher than everyone and heads the ball, but the attempt goes over the crossbar. At the final whistle, it ends 3-1.

In the next round, scheduled for Saturday 2nd May at 1:00 PM, AC Monza will host AC Milan.
