A total of 1,025 students in Monza will begin their primary school journey between Thursday 10th and Monday 14th September and, for the eighth consecutive year, will find an AC Monza biancorossi pencil case donated by the Club waiting for them on their desks, complete with school and stationery supplies and accompanied by a welcome message.
The first day of school was once again marked by the biancorossi colours in what has now become a tradition for the city. This year, the occasion was even more special for the 32 first-year pupils at Omero Primary School, who received their pencil cases directly from Mayor of Monza Paolo Pilotto and AC Monza Sporting Director Pedro Obiang, during a moment of celebration and togetherness to mark the beginning of the new school year.
The visit to Omero Primary School also represented a return to where the initiative first began. It was here, in 2019, that the first pencil cases were handed out in the presence of AC Monza players. Since then, the project has continued without interruption, involving every year the children beginning primary school in Monza.
Across eight editions, more than 9,000 pencil cases have been distributed, reaching a total of 478 classes.
Having returned to Serie A this year, AC Monza is once again confirming its long-standing collaboration with the Municipality of Monza and its commitment to younger generations through educational initiatives dedicated to the city’s schools. This relationship also takes shape through projects such as “Io Tifo Positivo”, aimed at primary schools, and “Generazione Monza”, dedicated to lower secondary schools, with the aim of harnessing the power and visibility of football as tools for education, participation and personal development.
This ongoing commitment has helped bring an increasing number of young supporters closer to the biancorossi colours over the years and has contributed to making the Brianteo one of the stadiums with the youngest average audience in Italy.

In recent days, the Club completed the distribution of the pencil cases to all 30 state, state-recognised and private schools across the city, involving a total of 57 classes and 1,025 new students ready to begin their school journey with a small symbol of their connection to their city.
