FOR THE SEVENTH YEAR, WHITE-AND-RED PENCIL CASES ON THE DESKS OF FIRST GRADERS

A total of 1,140 children in Monza are starting primary school these days, and for the seventh year in a row they found on their desks the red-and-white pencil case donated by AC Monza, complete with school supplies and stationery, along with a welcome message.

The first day of school in red and white has now become a city tradition, made even more special this year for the 39 first-grade pupils of the Citterio school. Here, the students received their pencil case directly from Mayor Paolo Pilotto and AC Monza player Kevin Zeroli, sharing a festive and memorable moment.

The initiative, launched in 2019 and carried out without interruption to this day, demonstrates the close collaboration between AC Monza and the Municipality of Monza, which translates into educational programs dedicated to schools and concrete support in promoting football also as a formative tool.

"By continuing this initiative,” stated Mayor Paolo Pilotto, “the Administration and AC Monza reaffirm their commitment to the youngest and their educational needs, allowing them to come into contact, from their very first steps at school, with the truest values of Sport and team spirit"

AC Monza CEO and Deputy Chairman Adriano Galliani said: “This year we have exceeded 8,000 pencil cases delivered over seven years to more than 360 first-grade classes in all public and private schools in the city. The children who received the first pencil cases in 2019 are now in their second year of middle school: important numbers that make us extremely proud. This project, unique in its kind, was very dear to President Berlusconi, who I am certain would be proud of the continuity we have ensured. On behalf of the entire Club, I thank the Municipality for its constant operational support and all school staff for their always warm welcome. To them and to all families, we extend our best wishes for a school year full of satisfaction”.

In recent days, the Club has completed the distribution of pencil cases to all 31 public and private school complexes in the city, for a total of 61 classes involved.
