PATRICK CUTRONE JOINS AC MONZA

Patrick Cutrone is a new AC Monza player.

The striker joins from Como on a temporary deal until 30th June 2026, with an obligation to buy upon the fulfilment of certain conditions.

Born in Como on 3rd January 1998, he came through AC Milan’s Youth Academy and, after an outstanding development path, made his Serie A debut on 21st May 2017 in the 3-0 win at San Siro against Bologna.

In the 2017-18 season he became a permanent member of the First Team, scoring his first official goal on 3rd August 2017 in the third qualifying round of the Europa League against Craiova and his first Serie A goal on 20th August away to Crotone.

It was a fantastic first season at senior level, in which he netted 18 goals in all competitions, including the extra-time winner in the Milan derby against Inter in the single-match Coppa Italia quarter-final on 27th December.

The following season he confirmed all his qualities and, on 29th November, with a goal in the Europa League group stage against Dudelange, he became the youngest Italian player to score ten goals in European competitions.

After recording a total of 27 goals in 90 appearances for Milan, he moved to Wolverhampton in the summer of 2019 for a prestigious experience in the Premier League.

He returned to Italy on loan to Fiorentina in January 2020.

With the Viola he made 30 Serie A appearances, scoring 5 goals, before returning to Wolverhampton.

In the second half of the 2020-21 season he further enriched his resume with an experience in La Liga at Valencia.

He then returned to Italy to wear the Empoli shirt, helping the club secure Serie A survival in 2021-22 by scoring crucial goals, including the decisive strike in the away win against Napoli.

In the summer of 2022 he was signed by Como, where he immediately enjoyed an excellent Serie B campaign, scoring 9 goals in 35 matches.

His performances improved even further in the 2023-24 season, as he registered 14 goals and 5 assists in 32 games, leading Como to promotion to Serie A after 21 years and also winning the Serie B MVP award.

On 26th August 2024, on matchday two, he scored the equaliser in the 1-1 draw away at Cagliari, earning Como their first point of the 2024-25 Serie A season.

Como’s impressive tenth-place finish under Fabregas also bore his signature, with 7 goals and 5 assists in 33 appearances.

He left Como after 102 matches and 31 goals to join Parma on loan in the summer of 2025.

With the Emilians he scored his first goal the day after his arrival, in the 1-1 home draw against Atalanta on matchday two of Serie A, a competition in which he has made a total of 169 appearances, scoring 28 goals.

A striker with a great eye for goal, quick and gritty, he has also earned 1 senior international cap for Italy in the friendly against Argentina on 23rd March 2018, as well as scoring 11 goals in 25 appearances for the Under 21.

Monza now awaits him for a new and exciting adventure.

Welcome, Patrick!
