HERNANI JUNIOR JOINS AC MONZA


Hernani Junioris a new AC Monza player.

The Brazilian midfielder, transferred from Parma, has signed a contract with the biancorosso Club until June 30th, 2027.

Born in São Gonçalo do Sapucaí on March 27th, 1994, he grew up at Atlético Paranaense, where, after a stint at Joinville, he played until December 2016, making 130 appearances and scoring 18 goals.

He was brought to Europe by Zenit Saint Petersburg, with whom he played in the second half of the 2016-17 season, before a loan spell at Saint-Étienne.

After a year in France, he returned to Zenit and in the 2018-19 season he won the Russian championship.

In the summer of 2019, he began his adventure in Italy with Parma, making 32 appearances in his first Serie A season.

In 2020-21, he established himself as one of the top midfielders in Serie A, with 33 matches, 7 goals and 3 assists.

After loan spells with Genoa and Reggina, he returned to Parma in the summer of 2023 and was one of the key players in their promotion to Serie A.

In the 2024-25 season, he played 25 matches, scoring 3 goals, and contributed to Parma's salvation, with a total of 4 appearances in the early months of the ongoing season, reaching 112 Serie A appearances with 10 goals.

A midfielder who combines great physical qualities with skill and vision of play, he also boasts 14 appearances with the Brazilian Under 17 National Team, with whom he became South American Champion in 2011.
