EIGHT BIANCOROSSI CALLED UP TO NATIONAL TEAMS

Eight AC Monza players will be involved with their respective National Teams over the coming days.

A first prestigious call-up to the Italian senior National Team for defender Eddy Kouadio, who is included in the list of 34 players selected by head coach Roberto Mancini for the Nations League matches against Belgium, France and Turkey, twice. The 20-year-old from Tuscany becomes the fourth Monza player to be called up by Italy after Matteo Pessina, Andrea Colpani and Daniel Maldini.

There is also great satisfaction for goalkeeper Demba Thiam, who has received his first call-up to the Senegal National Team. He will be involved in a double-header in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique and Ethiopia, as well as a friendly against Comoros.

Another senior National Team call-up has also arrived for biancorossi goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist, with Sweden set to play four Nations League matches against Romania (twice), Poland and Bosnia.

Defender Saba Goglichidze has been called up by Georgia, who will play four Nations League matches against Ukraine, Hungary and Northern Ireland (twice).

Winger Adam Bakoune has answered the call of the Morocco U23 National Team, which will play three matches against Gabon, Mali and Tanzania.

The international honours for Monza players continue with midfielder Mathis Mout's call-up to the Italy U20 National Team. He will take part in a prestigious International Tournament in Spain, facing England, Germany and France.

Among the opponents Mout could face in La Nucia is also attacking winger Jay Robinson, who has been called up by the England U20 National Team for the same Elite League tournament.

Completing the rich group of biancorossi internationals, striker Gustavo Varela has been selected by the Portugal U21 head coach. He has already scored 3 goals in 5 appearances for the team and will be involved in a triple-header of European Championship qualifiers against Bulgaria, Gibraltar and the Czech Republic.
