COPPA ITALIA PRIMAVERA: THE BIANCOROSSI TRIUMPH 5-1 AND SECURE THEIR PLACE IN THE ROUND OF 32

Monza dominate, entertain and beat Union Brescia 5-1 in the Round of 32 of the Coppa Italia Primavera: Zanni’s hat-trick, Abou Elezz’s composure in front of goal and Rota Bulò’s superb finish light up the afternoon at the Centro Sportivo Silvio and Luigi Berlusconi-Monzello.

Monza make a perfect start: the team look aggressive and determined from the opening whistle, applying well-coordinated pressure across the pitch that forces the visitors to defend in their own half.

At 6', the hosts create their first chance: Ballabio tries a cross-shot but narrowly misses the target.

At 14', the biancorossi flood into the opposition penalty area and find the net, only for the goal to be ruled out seconds later by the referee for offside.

Brescia try to push forward and gain ground, but they come up against an attentive and well-organised Monza defence. Drobnic and his teammates remain focused and ready to win back possession.

The deadlock is broken at 32', with Monza taking the lead: Abou Elezz shines down the left and, with a superb piece of play, picks out Zanni’s run. The forward does brilliantly to get to the ball first and beat Bonomi.

At 39', Union Brescia launch an attack and Luciani tries to trouble Ballabio from distance, but his effort is inaccurate and sails over the crossbar.

Abou Elezz is in inspired form and, at 45', just before half-time, scores the second goal. Played through into space by Ballabio, the forward keeps his composure and slots the ball home.

In the second half, just three minutes after the restart, Bacchetti strikes powerfully from long range but fails to hit the target.

At 6', Ballabio comes alive down the right flank and delivers a precise ball into the box for Zanni, who shoots but narrowly misses out on his second goal of the game.

The biancazzurri attack down the right and win a penalty at 11': Bacchetti steps up to the spot and pulls one back.

Just two minutes later, Monza restore their two-goal advantage: Zanni takes aim from the edge of the box and fires a precise shot into the net to make it 3-1.

The biancorossi continue to press, maintaining their concentration and intensity. At 29', Rota Bulò takes centre stage and earns the applause of the crowd: with a precise right-footed strike, he makes it four and puts the result beyond doubt.

The visitors try to respond and launch another attack, but at 42', Scifo plays a through ball to Zanni, who finds himself one-on-one with Bonomi and makes no mistake, completing his hat-trick and sealing the final 5-1 scoreline.

In the next round of the Coppa Italia Primavera, AC Monza will face the winner of the tie between Frosinone and Virtus Entella. In the league, the biancorossi will return to action on Saturday, 31st October, at 1:00 PM at home against AC Milan.
