On Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, AC Monza opened the doors of the Centro Sportivo Silvio and Luigi Berlusconi-Monzello and welcomed the Italian Football Coaches Association (AIAC) for an afternoon of sharing and discussion, moving from theory to practice with the opportunity to watch the training sessions of the Under 18 and Under 17 teams.
The first part of the meeting saw Youth Academy Methodology Manager Alberto Giacomini present to the coaches the methodology in which the Club strongly believes.
The development of young players follows a clear and well-defined path, in which vision, control and performance guide the player’s development. These are the principles behind Monza Drive, which, through continuous education, anticipates technical decisions, supports player development and looks to the future with ambition.
The ultimate goal is to foster the improvement of every athlete and help them become a self-aware player, with the coach playing a key role in supporting the young player throughout their journey, stimulating learning and providing the knowledge needed to develop their potential.
One of the most significant moments of the day was the opportunity to attend the afternoon training sessions of the Under 18 and Under 17 teams. This allowed the coaches to observe the work on the pitch first-hand, gain a practical understanding of the concepts explored during the theoretical session and engage in discussions with the biancorossi youth-team coaches.
The event generated great attention, interest and curiosity. A wide range of knowledge and insights were shared, providing a valuable opportunity for learning and professional development for everyone involved.
