Gastón Ramirez is officially an AC Monza player.
The Uruguayan midfielder has signed a contract with the Biancorossi until 30th June 2022.
Born on 2nd December 1990 in Frai Bento, Ramirez grew up in Peñarol’s youth academy, with which he won the Clausura championship in 2010.
In the summer of the same year he joins Bologna, with which he collects 58 caps and 13 goals.
After two seasons Ramirez starts his adventure in the Premier League, where in five years he plays with Southampton, Hull City and Middlesbrough, collecting 94 appearances and 9 goals in total.
In 2017 he moves back to Italy, this time joining Sampdoria, where he plays 121 games and scores 16 goals.
Ramirez has also 43 caps with the National Team of Uruguay, with which he played the 2014 Brazil World Cup.
