WELCOME BACK GIOVANNI STROPPA!

Giovanni Stroppa will be AC Monza's new head coach starting from July 1st.

Born in Mulazzano, Lodi, on January 24th 1968, Stroppa returns to Monza 32 years after his experience as a player.

Arrived at Monza in the summer of 1987 on loan from AC Milan, he immediately achieved a promotion to Serie B and won a Coppa Italia Serie C. He was a regular player in his second season at Monza and then returned to AC Milan, where he won seven titles: a Champions League, two Intercontinental Cups, scoring a goal in the 1990 final, three European Super Cups and an Italian Super Cup.

He also started his coaching career at AC Milan, which began in 2006 in the Rossoneri's youth sector. In 2010 he won the Primavera Coppa Italia, repeating his success as a player.

After leading Sudtirol, Pescara and Spezia, he joined Foggia in 2016, bringing them back to Serie B after 19 years and winning the Lega Pro Super Cup in a record-breaking season. In 2018 he moved to Crotone, where in his second season he achieved another promotion, this time to Serie A. His adventure in Calabria ended last March.

And now he's back at Monza 32 years later, where he'll be reunited with Berlusconi and Galliani.

Welcome back Mister Stroppa!
