Colombo's first goal in white and red secures a very important win for Monza, as the Biancorossi beat Sassuolo 0-1 at the Mapei Stadium.
A chance each in the first 10 minutes; in the 6th minute Di Gregorio saves on Lauriente', while four minutes later Consigli does the same on Ciurria's strike.
Just before the break Sassuolo has another chance with Lauriente', but his shot goes high.
In the second half the Biancorossi start pushing and find the well deserved lead in the 66th minute with Colombo; the Italian striker starts his run from the halfway line, dribbles past Erlic and beats Consigli with a precise strike. First goal with Monza for Colombo who, in the 86th minute, finds the net again; his goal however gets disallowed due to offside.
There is also time for Papu Gomez, who makes his debut with the Biancorossi in the 76th minute, immediately showing great things.
It ends 0-1 at the Mapei Stadium, Monza will be back on the pitch on Sunday 8th October at 12:30pm at the U-Power Stadium against Salernitana.
