A bad defeat for Monza at the Stadio Del Duca, as the Biancorossi lose 1-0 to Ascoli.

A balanced start of the game, with the first chance coming on the feet of Frattesi in the 19th minute. The Italian midfielder, served by Diaw, hits the ball with his left foot, but Leali blocks.
Towards the end of the first half Monza starts pushing more and creates several chances, however without finding the goal.
The biggest chance for the Biancorossi comes in the 62nd minute, when Leali makes a miraculous save on Frattesi's header. Ascoli's keeper touches the ball that hits the crossbar and os then swiped away by the home side.
Two minutes later, then, the episode that decides the game. Ascoli stats a counterattack, Saric gets served in the box and scores with a volley.
Monza keeps on pushing but can't find the equaliser.
It ends 1-0 at the Stadio Del Duca, the Biancorossi will be back on the pitch on Saturday 17th April at 2pm at the U-Power Stadium against Cremonese.
